Great mix man, you heard that little weapon track by lupe right? I just saw jay-z in concert great show done with a full band.
Grats on your Flail, Newgro!
Bah, it's amazing how many people think that rap is cheap poetry when (mainstream) pop and rock bands usually sing stuff like "baby l'll love you forever" etc.
I fucking hate music nazis for this very reason, they stereotype everything except the type of music they prefer...
Sure, SOME of the rap/hip hop artists have some pathetic lyrics in their songs (yo ma homie gunna shoot up sum shit n den bang sum hos), but some others have some really, really good and well thought-off stuff in their songs...
That's the very reason l like rap/hip hop...some of the songs are epic...also,l consider myself pretty lucky because l know more languages than your average person, so l can appreciate rap and hip hop in different languages...
By the way, why don't you make a BBS thread?
I want some cable!
And I wish I could travel down there to give it to ya.

I gotta admit, this was an interesting read. Rap (or, as I've now learned to call it, "mainstream rap") was one of the few things I simply can't listen to. It's awful, it's all the damn same, and it usually sounds like it was written (and sung) by a gorilla. However, most of those links up there were actually not that bad. OK; they're still not my favourite thing in the world, but I've definitely heard worse from other music genres.
I do have a question though: Why is this kind of rap seemingly shunned by big record companies and labels, in favour of the 'mainstream' (read: plainly worse) stuff? What are the talentless moron rappers offering the music industry that the others can't?
